State Farm® Insurance Agent Larry Kroeker

"I live in Julesburg, CO. There is no State Farm office there, so I am posting this review to all the surrounding offices where a person from Julesburg might try to do business. My car has cosmetic damage due to being hit from behind on the interstate by a State Farm customer. The closest body shop is about 45 minutes, one-way, from Julesburg where I live. I told State Farm that I would not spend my time and gas money dropping off and picking up the car, so they agreed to tow it. Once the car was at the shop, State Farm decided not to repair it. They offered a settlement that included me keeping the car, which I accepted, but then they refused to tow the car back. There is no transportation available out here, public or private. I don't own another vehicle and don't have any friends or family in the area. I needed the car back, but State Farm absolutely refused to return it, despite having agreed to. The only reason they gave for their refusal is that they don't "normally" return totaled vehicles. I tried to point out that this was defintely not a normal claim (my vehicle was driveable but the shop was 45 minutes away and in another state) but my attempts to communicate with them further were ignored. My only option to avoid paying $300 for the return tow was to go door to door knocking until I found an acquaintance who was home and willing to drive me to the shop in Sydney, NE in exchange for gas money and payment for his time. Of course State Farm refused to compensate me for that time, expense, and embarrassment. State Farm is not a good neighbor, they are dishonest, unreliable and incredibly rude."
